the theme of Contemporary Art

The one of the themes in Contemporary Art is “Play”.
Jessica Stockholder plays plastic to make sculptures with brightly color to create improvise exuberant installation. She said “I’m interested in how a thinking process can meander in unpredictable ways.” “and like child’s play”. Oliver Herring released from his past meditative work of knitting colorless sculptures with the tape. He said “I usually wait for a moment that bring out some kind of vulnerability” with inspiration to create his sculpture.
Arturo Herrera. Combines cartoon elements with abstract shapes to explore the interplay of childhood memories and adult desires. He employs childish color, pattern and movement to elicit delight of play.
